Dragon Days™ is a fun-filled, fall fantasy festival for families, fantasy fans, and gamers alike! Located in the City of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, this city-wide event celebrates the city as the Birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons® and hometown of its co-creator and best selling author, Gary Gygax!

Purchase your discounted Festival Passes in advance through September 30th and avoid the lines on festival day! Advance discounted passes are $15/person for a single day pass and $20/person for a two-day pass, children 12 and under are FREE!

The first 300 advance ticket purchases get a free Pencil of Sharpness +2 and an Adventurers Handy Haversack for carrying all the treasures you find at your adventures at Dragon Days™!

On festival days Festival Passes are $20/person for a single day pass and $30/person for a two-day pass, children 12 and under are still FREE!

A Festival Pass gets you and up to two children, 12 and under, FREE access to all of the festival venues, entertainment, and activities, well over a $100 value per person! Check out all the fun adventures you can have:

Library Park and Our Fantasy Faire (Friday, 5-6pm, & Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm):

  • Shop for fabulous treasures from costumed merchants in our Enchanted Bazaar!

  • Go trick-or-treating in our Fantasy Village!

  • Test your skills at the Adventurer’s Proving Grounds!

  • Join our Adventurer’s Guild and go on our citywide Dragon Days™ Quest!

  • Adventure in our straw-bale, Dragon Days™ Dungeon Maze!

  • Gain Experience Points (XP) to earn fabulous magic items at Ye’ Olde Magick Shoppe!

Geneva Stage (Saturday & Sunday, 10am-10pm):

  • Watch episodes of the D&D® Saturday morning cartoon!

  • Enjoy a matinee of the most recent D&D® movie!

  • Buy yourself some popcorn, a drink, and maybe some Junior Mints!

  • Watch the hilarious improv antics of the Dungeon Cocktail Experience as they go on an adventure while the audience plays along! (There will be a short program suitable for families with young children from 6-7 pm and a second show for older audiences from 8-9:30pm.)

Geneva Lake Museum (Saturday, 10am-4pm, & Sunday, 11am-3pm):

  • Wonder at The Wizard of Lake Geneva™ exhibit about Gary Gygax, his life and history of D&D®!

  • Pose for photos at our Creature Column and see how you measure up to the fantastical creatures of the D&D® game!

  • Shop for fabulous treasures, toys, dice, dragons, and more in the museum’s magical gift shop!

  • Meet some of the Game Wizards that created the D&D® book and games!

  • Adventure with one of our Game Wizards on a guided walking tour of D&D® history sites in Lake Geneva.

330 Center Street, The Birthplace of D&D (Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm):

  • Take a tour through this legendary landmark!

  • Watch our short documentary video, The Birthplace of D&D, about the history of this amazing landmark.

  • Visit Gary Gygax's office and sit down at the same sort of typewriter he used to type D&D®!

  • Sit where Gary Gygax ran his first game of D&D® in his legendary Greyhawk Castle in 1973!

  • Descend into the basement where fantasy gaming was born! See the replica sand table and figures in the basement where Gary Gygax ran his first fantasy games!

Lake Geneva Public Library (Saturday Only, 9am-5pm):

  • Enter the Appendix N Alcove for our magical, children's Fairy Tale Story Time!

  • Strike an epic pose on our magic Throne of Reading!

  • Wonder at our Worlds of Imagination display featuring the history of fantasy fiction published in Lake Geneva!

  • Learn to Draw a Dragon with our delightful artist!

  • Join the Library’s Halloween Costume Exchange! Bring a clean, used costume from a previous Halloween and trade it for a new one this year!

Horticultural Hall (Friday & Saturday, 10am-10pm, & Sunday, 10am-5pm):

  • Stop in and play our introductory Dungeons & Dragons® games that teach anyone how to play!

  • Sit down and play in a wide selection of table-top games run by our friendly Game Masters!

  • Shop for game merchandise, fiction, and art from our incredible vendors!

  • Get your kids a FREE coloring book at our Future Fantasy Artist table!

  • Help us create an Dragon Days™ Endless Quest adventure! Create a monster or a magic item or a hero to save the day! Your creations will be entered into our choose your own path adventure and published on our website for all to enjoy!

  • View our fascinating GEN CON® History Exhibit, started right here in 1968 and now the largest table-top gaming convention in North America!

  • Check out our Pixels & Programs exhibit and play our vintage pinball, PC, and console games featuring Dungeons & Dragons® and fantasy themed games!

Local Shops and Restaurants:

Dragon Days™ Fantasy Festival attendance will require Festival Passes (wrist-bands) at most festival venues. (The Friday Opening Ceremony and all Lake Geneva Public Library events are free to the public and do not require Festival Passes.)

Festival Passes will be available for pick-up the weekend of the festival Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Find them at the Fantasy Fair Entrance situated in Library Park, west of the Lake Geneva Public Library, near the intersection of Madison St. and West Main St..

Festival Passes may also be purchased onsite at this same location on the days of the festival.

The festival will happen rain or shine! The Fantasy Faire in the park is an outdoor venue but the merchants will be under tents and the performers will have a roof over the stage. All other festival venues are indoors and other than a short walk, attendees will be warm and cozy at one of our many event sites around the city.
